Ana-Maria Vranceanu, PhD
Dr. Vranceanu is a clinical healthy psychologist and Director of the Integrated Brain Health Clinical and Research Program within the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is also an Associate Professor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Vranceanu conducts clinical research, teaches, mentors junior faculty and trainees, and provides clinical care to individuals on the continuum from health to illness. Dr. Vranceanu’s research program is focused on developing and testing feasible and scalable mHealth mind-body interventions delivered to geographically diverse individuals interested in promoting health, preventing disease, or optimizing management of chronic illness. A new program of research is focused on intervention development for family and friends caregivers, as well as patient-caregivers dyads. Dr. Vranceanu’s research is currently supported by the Department of Defense, National Institute of Nursing Research, National Institute of Aging, National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, the McCance Center for Brain Health, as well as foundations and philanthropic organizations. She has over 130 publications and edited the MGH Book of Behavioral Medicine.
