You asked, we listened: Introducing Calmpilation summer 2024

A collection of updates to help you fit Calm more easily into your life.

The Calm app is packed with science-backed content and tools designed to help you stress less and sleep more, but we also listen closely to what all of you in the Calm community have been telling us about how we can improve the product to meet your real-world needs.

This Calmpilation (see what we did there…) introduces an exciting batch of content updates and new ways to interact with the app, reflecting some of the most common feedback we’ve received to date. Let’s take a look.

Sleep Stories

Choose from even more soothing voices, dreamy themes, and unique languages

You asked for more variety in your bedtime tales — now you can listen to more than 500 Sleep Stories across seven languages. Whether you’re in search of a go-to Sleep Story that you can count on every night, or you prefer to drift off to a range of voices, we’ve got you covered.

Getting a good night’s sleep is a uniquely personal experience, so we’re continuously adding Sleep Stories of all types to help you find what puts you into a deep slumber. Recent narrators include Kevin Bacon and Sheryl Lee Ralph, joining global superstars like Harry Styles and Camila Cabello, as well as fan favorites like Alan Sklar and Erik Braa.

We’ve also been releasing new Calm Kids Sleep Stories so your little ones can drift off to dreamland with their favorite characters, from classics like Disney Princesses to modern-day companions like PAW Patrol and Minions. These stories might be designed for kids, but we dare you not to doze off too!

Taptivities

Improve your mood in minutes, no meditation required

You asked for quicker, easier ways to bring mindfulness into your day — now you can use the Calm app to pause and reset in the moment, even if you’re short on time or forgot your headphones.

Introducing Taptivities: guided, interactive text-based stories and visualizations that take only a minute or two to complete. Think of them as bite-sized mindfulness sessions that incorporate themes like gratitude, self-reflection, grounding, and deep breathing.

The next time you find yourself aimlessly scrolling through social media to decompress, try a Taptivity instead. You’ll be seconds away from feeling better.

Playlists

Personalize your experience by mixing and matching content together

You asked for playlists — now our most requested update has finally landed. Playlists allow you to create a seamless experience between your favorite sessions. You no longer need to grab your phone after finishing a relaxing Sleep Story to search for music to help you stay asleep. Instead, you can string together meditations, Sleep Stories, and music in whatever order you like.

And more good news for parents: playlists are a great way to keep your kids’ favorite Sleep Stories and meditations together in one place.

Using playlists gives you endless opportunities to mix and match what you need to get the most out of the Calm app.
