We’re pleased to introduce the writer and poet behind To The River, Selina Nwulu. In this case, Selina also narrated the story!
Tell us about your career as a writer.
My poetry and essays have been widely featured in a variety of journals, short films and anthologies including the critically acclaimed anthology New Daughters of Africa. My work has been translated into Spanish, Greek and Polish. I was Young Poet Laureate for London 2015-6, an award that showcases literary talent across the capital and I was shortlisted for the Brunel International African Poetry Prize 2019. I have just finished my first full length collection of poems and was a finalist for the 2021 Arts Award UK environmental writing award.
