School of Calm: A fun mental health curriculum to help you feel better
A free, interactive “feel better curriculum” with 30 mental health lessons you wish you’d learned in school, but didn’t.
Sure, math, science, reading, and writing are important, but sticking only to these subjects in school tends to leave a gap in our readiness to take on the real world.
Left to fend for ourselves when it comes to love, relationships, mental health, and how on earth to take care of ourselves, most of us go through some challenging trial and error in our young adult (and adult!) lives.
We recommend you download and open the curriculum in your favorite PDF viewer in order to get the best interactive experience! Of course, you can also print and write by hand if that’s more your style.
Welcome to School of Calm
This free, interactive journal has been mindfully designed to educate you on the subjects that will help you actually feel prepared to show up for your life.
It’s everything you wish you’d learned in school broken down into 30 bite-sized lessons. Pair a lesson with your morning coffee, or peruse on your lunch break and start to build your knowledge on the real basics of life.
What are these basics? We’re glad you asked.
Lessons 1-8 cover how the heck to manage Stress & Anxiety and building your own resilience
Lessons 9-14 will share all you need to know about Sleep, including how much you need, your sleep type, and why it’s so important for your mental health
Lessons 15-22 dive into the basic about Mental Health, including how to actually feel your feelings, taking care of yourself, and boosting self-esteem
Lessons 23-30 will explore the life changing practices of Mindfulness, including self-compassion, letting go and how to actually meditate
There will be no pop quizzes and no grades. These lessons aren’t about being “book smart”, but about being “life smart”. Play around with the tips and practices outlined in whatever way or time feels good to you. It’s your life after all.
It’s time to get curious, explore new ways to live your life more fully and, most of all, feel better.
*Bell rings* Calm classes are in session.
