Get outside

Tip #26 for the holiday season: Get Outside

Take a deep breath of fresh air. Smell the trees. Feel the sun on your face. One of the most powerful ways to de-stress is to spend time outdoors. Eating, drinking, and socializing can be hard on your overall well-being, so give yourself a break with the restorative effects of nature. If it’s cold, throw on some layers and go for a hike. If it’s hot, find a natural body of water and go swimming. Notice how a little time in nature makes you feel.

Our favorite things to do outside from the Calm team:

Jade: This time of year can be really beautiful in many of the parks in London. I try to get to them as often as I can, for some much needed fresh air! My partner and I have been exploring new areas on the edges of London every month, and it’s nice to be somewhere unfamiliar as it really heightens my senses.

Christi-an: I love catching up with a friend while skating.
